Got Tissues Handy? And a Pair of Hiking Boots?

Are you struggling with loss? Overwhelmed with disappointment? Fearful of what the future may hold? Today, I hope to instill in you a little bit of hope and strength as inspired by the story of Andy Buerger and his beloved sister, Jodi.

Andy's life has been marked by loss—his mother at just a year old, his father at 31, and later, his sister Jodi to breast cancer. Then, just months into his marriage, his wife Jennifer was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

But instead of letting these hardships define him, Andy turned them into fuel for something bigger.

Through the non-profit, Jodi’s Climb for Hope, Andy has organized mountain climbing expeditions to raise funds for breast cancer and MS research. By literally climbing mountains, Andy and those who sign-up symbolize the resilience needed to face life’s greatest challenges.

This conversation will inspire you to look at your own struggles differently and recognize that hope isn’t something we wait for—it’s something we create, step by step.

Living for Something Bigger

It's not what happens to us in this life that matters, but rather how we react to it that counts.

Drawing inspiration from my conversation had with Andy, who lost his mother, father, and beloved sister, Jodi, I wanted to focus on this theme of living for something bigger than ourselves.

Andy created a non-profit organization that has raised over $1 Million for medical research.

But it doesn't have to be something quite so big. Sometimes, the tiniest actions leave the biggest impact.

🌟 IF READY TO MAKE GOOD COME OUT OF THE BAD. IF READY TO TURN YOUR PAIN INTO PURPOSE. THEN CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO THIS EMPOWERING EPISODE!

Ready to Be Encouraged?

Both of these episodes shine a light on how we can transform heartbreak into hope and loss into legacy. If you’re wrestling with grief, searching for deeper meaning, or just in need of a little inspiration, these two podcast episodes are sure to uplift and empower you.

If there’s one message to carry with you today, let it be this:
You are stronger than you know, you are more amazing than you believe, and your story holds power—maybe even more than you realize right now.

Until next week,

Kevin Lowe
Host of Grit, Grace, & Inspiration

🌟 P.S. Know someone who could use a little lift today? Forward this newsletter to them—it might be just the encouragement they need!
